Remembering 9/11

Where were you on this day 14 years ago? Do you remember? I do. I was sitting in geometry class. Much like everyone else, I didn’t know what was happening. All I knew at the time was America was never going to be the same.

Now, 14 years later, we still remember.

Hank Williams Jr. said it best in a song written days after 9/11, “America Will Survive.”

We live back in the woods you see
Big city problems never bothered me
But now the world has changed and so have I
And America can survive, America will survive!

We can plow our fields all day long
We can catch our fish from dusk ’til dawn
Yeah, we have toughed it out a time or two
These are dark days but we’re gonna pull through

We’re gonna pull through. How many times, as a farmer, do you think this? We’re gonna pull through. No matter how hard it gets, farmers do pull through. They’re always thinking, it’s gonna get better next year. It eventually does.

Just like America we can survive, we will survive. No matter what gets thrown our way.
Remembering 9/11

We remember those who lost their lives that fateful day.
