The poster on the left commemorates the 140th Flag Day on June 14, 1917. Since 1777, the week of June 14 has been designated as “National Flag Week.” It’s the day the flag of the United States was officially adopted.
The United States of America has come a long way since then. The 13 original colonies have now grown into 50 booming states and our forefathers have paved a road of opportunity if you know where to look. Today, the flag is displayed on all government buildings, in front of office buildings, schools, and even some farms.
As farmers we have our nation’s trust to care for our greatest resource and provide food for everyone. Not a day goes by that we aren’t thankful for our freedoms that allow us to follow our dreams. And for that, we will forever be grateful to our forefathers who paved the way before us.
We are proud to be American. Happy Flag Week!
