Are You Ready for MOSES?

2015 MOSES Organic Farming ConferenceWe are!

The office has been buzzing with activity as we prepare for yet another MOSES Organic Farming Conference in La Crosse, Wisconsin this week. Each year, we look forward to the different sessions and this year is no different.

If you’re going, there are a few things you won’t want to miss like visiting us at the trade show. We will have some sweet door prizes if you can answer our riddle, plus we just enjoy talking with people. We gave away travel mugs and hats at ACRES in December and they were a hit. We still get people inquiring how they can get one of our mugs so be sure to stop by and get yours.

Secondly, Reggie Destree with Organic Marketing Inc., will be speaking on foliar feeding plant nutrients. He spoke on plant protection at our seminar last month and did an excellent job. He uses his real-life experiences and is very passionate about staying on the cutting edge of organic and biological agriculture. He will be discussing the relationship of plant nutrient levels to soil fertility and how foliar nutrients work as a catalyst to enhance the uptake of soil nutrients. Using data from research and field trials relating to plant uptake, plan nutrient corrections and yield results, Destree will explore prospective foliar fertility programs. If you’re interested, his session Foliar Feeding Plant Nutrients will begin at 11 a.m. Friday.

Lastly, the organic meals and snacks included with conference registrations are out-of-this-world. Seriously, so good. But if you want to venture away from the conference for a quick meal, La Crosse has many restaurants within walking distance that feature local foods.

What are some things you’re looking forward to?
